My 2012 Wedding season started out very quick this year with a wedding the first week of January. Luckily, the weather was beautiful and warm and we were able to treat this just like a nice fall day. Courtney and Christian were such a great couple and we had fun from the start of the day. The ceremony took place at Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta and then the reception was at 103 West in Buckhead. This was a great way to start my year, can't wait for the next one! I got the privilege of shooting Morgan and Troy's engagement pictures on Morgan's family farm. It was a great place to shoot! Everywhere we turned there was another great shot, amazing background, or textured wall! After we spent some time on the farm we headed to downtown Lawrenceville to use the railroad tracks and some old buildings. Lot's of fun, really looking forward to their wedding in April! Rachel and Andy got married at probably the most beautiful church I've ever photographed. The inside was amazing and we had a garden behind the church to use as well. And then to top it off, the reception was at the Kennesaw Mountain Gardens, so we stopped off at the mountain and got some pictures before we got to the reception spot. This was a great way to end my 2011 weddings, perfect weather and a couple that really made shooting fun! Here are a few of my favorites...

Hope and Michael were so much fun to shoot. They are the most relaxed and comfortable couple in front of the camera. I would set up a pose and they would take it from there, it was really great to work with them. And this was a special one b/c Hope was actually a bridesmaid in my wedding, so now I get the honor of capturing her special day in February. We started out the morning freezing, and by the end of the reception it was burning up.... and extremely windy. This was my first wedding at The Piedmont Park Tavern, it made such a beautiful wedding venue. Besides the crazy amount of people in the background, getting married with the Atlanta skyline hovering over you is very beautiful. It started out with a very emotional ceremony, and ended with a crazy party with one awesome live band. I shot this wedding as a side shooter with the great Scott, one of my good friends. This was located just outside Athens, an outdoor venue that was simple breathtaking. The 100+ year old house was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, and the reception was caped off with an amazing band under a huge tent. The Nesbit couple were so much fun, we luckily had lots of time before the ceremony and this location presented amazing shots for us. Here are a few of my favorites:

Megan and Chris were so fun to shoot. We started the session where they first met, at a disc golf course. We walked to some special areas for them and then they even played a short game as well. This was a very exciting shoot for me, not only are they my closest friends, but this was my first maternity shoot. Ryan and Jesi are 7 months along, and just glowing with excitement. Long time since a post, been busy learning to be married for the last few months. YEC is a conference in Macon, GA, 10,000 students come to hear great music and powerful speakers. First time I've heard David Crowder live and I got to photograph him, that was pretty cool, I'm a big fan! A Classic Wedding!

This was my last wedding of the summer, located at the beautiful Classic Center in downtown Athens. Rain was a major issue, it was beautiful before the ceremony, but about 2 seconds after it ended the bottom fell out, so we moved our pictures to covered areas. The Lassiter's got married on an old preserved town from the 1800's, it was very pretty to see buildings and a church from that time period. The couple had been dating for years and just wanted to wait for the perfect time to take the next step. The ceremony was beautiful on the old town and then the reception was moved to Kennesaw Mountain where the party really got started. The band was amazing, the singers all danced in sync as they sang classics that got the wedding guests dancing the night away. Here are a few of my favorites:

Well...it's been a while since my last post, I guess my only excuse has been that I've been really busy with my own wedding in September. But now that it's all over and I'm a married man, it's back to work for me.

This wedding was this past summer, Scott and Lindsay are good friends of mine and their wedding was one crazy party. The day started at the church in Alpharetta where Lindsay looked beautiful. Scott surprised me and stayed very calm, but as the night got crazy, so did he. I was honored to get to photograph them, and was so pleased with how the pictures turned out. SuperWOW camp!

SuperWOW is a camp located in jekyll Island, GA. This is another camp I got the honor of photographing for a week of my work. The week involves teaching, worship, missions, and recreation - basically everything a student loves. It was a powerful week of students surrendering it all to Jesus and being transformed by His spirit.

This was a beautiful destination wedding. Brandon and Lucy have been friends are mine for quite some time, it was so fun to get to capture their special day. We laughed and cut-up all day. They had a great service on the beach, with music led by Brandon's sister. Once the first kiss was over, the party was moved to the hotel, where there was great food and dancing.
